Street festivals in Switzerland

Switzerland runs a short, dense season and books it early. Two of its best festivals, Aufgetischt St.Gallen and Buskers Chur, share one organisation and one programmer, so a single message reaches both. The Swiss model is usually hat plus accommodation and food rather than a fee — Neuchâtel says so openly. Language follows the canton: German in the east, French in the west, Italian in Ticino.
Applying in Switzerland
16 of the 19 festivals listed here accept applications directly — 2 through an online form and 14 by writing to the organisers. The rest build their programmes by invitation or through curators, which means the way in is to be seen at the festivals that do run calls.
Write in the local language wherever you can. It is a small circuit and a message in the organiser's own language reads as respect, not effort.
