What this is

Street festivals do not advertise. Their calls open quietly on their own sites, in their own languages, on their own calendars — and close months before the festival happens. An artist planning a season has to keep track of a few hundred of them at once, in fifteen languages, with no central listing anywhere.

This is that listing. It is kept by a working street performer who applies to these festivals every year, and it exists because the alternative was a spreadsheet nobody else could see.

What you will find on each festival page: where and when it happens, what kind of programme it runs, how artists apply, when the deadline falls, and a direct link to the festival's own application page.

What you will not find: organisers' private email addresses. Festival teams are small and they get hundreds of messages a season. Sending them a mail-merge is the fastest way to be ignored — so the links here point at each festival's own front door, where they have asked to be approached.
